Leveraging on technology to achieve inclusive education!

Every individual deserves to receive a quality education. Education is a fundamental human right and a social good.

But, the overwhelming majority of disabled individuals in Africa are being deprived of access to it. To quote one estimate, only around 2% of disabled people across the continent are attending school. Quite clearly this isn’t good enough and it must change.

For a long time in many African countries persons with disabilities have been marginalized. In some cases, parents regard having such children as a curse. Therefore, one finds that these persons are discriminated against on the job market, in the provision of facilities and programmes meant to uplift their welfare and in educational opportunities.

This Summit will bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Special Needs Education. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Special Needs Education.
