The Sandton SPCA 2014 ‘Forever Homed’ calendar was officially launched on 22 October 2013 at the La vie en Rose
This fundraising activity raised over R200 000 in 2013. Photographed by Fine art photographer Emma O’Brien, the calendar features those fortunate strays adopted from the Sandton SPCA who have found their forever homes.
Guests came in droves and showed their continued support for the deserving project and it’s hoped that the funds raised this year from the calendar sales, will exceed the figures from previous years.
O’Brien has shot this particular calendar for the past two years and is well known for her winning approach to photographing animals and has an uncanny ability for capturing their innocence, and need for man’s love and affection.
The proceeds from the sale of the calendars is channelled directly back to the Sandton SPCA to assist with the nobel work of this non-profit organisation. This year, each calendar is priced at R120.00 and can be bought in bundles for organisations to give to clients as a corporate gift. Contact the Sandton SPCA by email –firstname.lastname@example.org or telephonically on for orders.
O’Brien works as a Johannesburg-based portrait photographer, and specialises in family, maternity and newborn, corporate and documentary photography. She also runs courses on basic camera skills and portrait photography.
