We’re celebrating the #RoadtoRio by aiming to raise funds to reach 1,000 more youth during the final build-up to the Games

Meet Ng’onga Mutale, one of many young people that you have impacted through your generous support of Grassroot Soccer (GRS). Ng’onga is 18 years old, lives in Lusaka, Zambia, graduated from a GRS health education program, and recently completed her secondary education. Here’s what she had to say about the impact of GRS on her life

“I learned…how to make decisions that will make a positive impact in my life in the future. I have also learned to stand on my feet and say no to things that are going to ruin my life. [My family] have been proud of me because of what I learned and they look to me as someone who can make a right decision…”

I firmly believe that soccer can change the world. On August 5th the 2016 Olympic Games get underway. For Grassroot Soccer, it’s a moment to celebrate just how much soccer unites us.

That’s why we’re celebrating the #RoadtoRio by aiming to raise funds to reach 1,000 more youth during the final build-up to the Games. Demand for our programs is higher than ever, and we want to make an extra push to impact more young people.

You can help. Through a donation to our #RoadtoRio campaign, you will make a direct change for young people just like Ng’onga by supporting health education, access to health services, and mentoring.

Many thanks for your support,

Tommy Clark, MD
