Add Hope teams, NGO leaders, media and influencers gathered in Hillbrow today at NGO Mould, Empower, Serve (MES) to experience how hope is stronger than hunger this World Hunger Month. MES is one of 137 NGOs supported by Add Hope.  With World Hunger Month in October, including World Food Day on 16th October, KFC is aiming to raise over R5 million in Add Hope donations which will go to feeding 120 000 children around the country at NGOs like MES.   Read More...

South Africa’s champion low-cost carrier kulula.com has partnered with the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town by donating funds to launch a first-of-its-kind radio station by children for children in Africa, RX Radio.
The donation of R150 000 made to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital will contribute to the launch of the first child-produced radio station, where patients get trained as producers and presenters to assist other patients in their struggles to alleviate their anxiety and loneliness, whilst spending some time in hospital.   Read More...

With this growth in mind, we’ve expanded our core staff to increase the support we offer to our projects. It’s always exciting to get new energy and new blood into the organisation, and in this case we are specifically excited by the involvement of Leana Claasen who was a previous facilitator at one of our projects since 2010! Leana brings a wealth of hands on experience, having worked on the ground for 7 years with the Anna Foundation programmes, and now being ‘behind the scenes’ and offering support and training to the women at the projects. Image: Green Jobs for Mahogany Ridge community Paarl Media pledged R100 000 to Wildlands, to support their “Greening your Future” programme.

This will  help grow the local green economy within the Mahogany Ridge community. The team of six helped ensure the Mahogany Ridge riverine ecosystem was kept in an optimal state to prevent flooding and curtail climate change. They were  employed in full-time positions dedicated to restoration and conservation, focused on clearing alien vegetation and landscaping the cleared areas by planting suitable indigenous trees.   Read More...
