Image: National Children’s Day celebrated at the Nappy Run™ On 5 November the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in South Africa (NCPPDSA) hosted their annual fun run/walk event.

The 5km run was held at the Johannesburg Zoo in Parktown, in celebration of National Children’s Day to raise nappies and awareness of rights for children with disabilities. The first runner up of Mr. South Africa 2016, Morné Marais, compered the event, which was attended by over 300 runners/walkers who eagerly took on the challenge to complete the 5km in support of the cause.   Read More...

Image: We're On a Buzz About Buggies ... and our big buzz is the planning for the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2017. We have identified the 3 young warriors to experience the Cycle Tour.

But that's not all...  we are elated to have 3 super-human cyclists step forward to volunteer their time, muscles and care to pull the children in the buggies on the world's largest timed cycling event's 109km course. In fact, we have another offer of muscles, so we're hoping to add a 4th team. Image: Engen & Work4You working to help young adults with disabilities. Engen joined Work4You for their 10th Anniversary dinner to celebrate their support for an NGO making an impact in an area of vital need.

Since 2006, Cape-based Work4You has helped train 80 young adults with intellectual disabilities in order for them to gain relevant work experience, which can lead to full-time employment. We are thrilled to announce that Warrior On Wheels Foundation now has our own charity group in 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour – the largest timed cycling event in the world.
