On the 6th of September 1910 NICRO was founded as South Africa Prisoner’s Aid Association by Justice Mr. J de Villiers Roos with his fellow colleagues in the then Justice department. It was the first countrywide organisation of its kind for the aid and after-care of prisoners and their families.   Read More...

As from 19 November 2014 individuals arrested for road traffic offences, will be able to access NICRO support and services via a 24 hour hotline 072 184 6483.
