Delivering Change — Powered by Purpose, Fueled by Green Innovation
Green Riders is a proudly South African, turnkey green e-mobility solution redefining the last-mile delivery industry with a bold mission: to combat youth unemployment and environmental degradation through sustainable logistics and skills development.

Our purpose goes beyond delivery. We exist to spark meaningful social and environmental change — empowering South African youth with career opportunities, while pioneering a transition toward low-emission, cost-effective delivery services in the communities that need it most.
Our Mission Is Two-Fold:
1. Create 50,000 Jobs in 5 Years
South Africa’s youth unemployment rate stands at a staggering 59.7% (Q3 2023 – Stats SA), with thousands of young people locked out of the formal economy.
At Green Riders, we are unlocking opportunity by recruiting unemployed youth — especially from under-resourced townships — and training them to become professional, tech-savvy delivery riders.
Our Green Riders Academy provides:
• Accredited training
• Financial literacy modules
• Digital onboarding tools
• Placement support with industry-leading delivery aggregators

We’re building more than jobs — we’re creating career pathways for thousands of young South Africans
2. Green the Last-Mile Delivery Industry
The traditional last-mile delivery sector is dominated by Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles, a major contributor to urban air pollution and high rider operating costs.
• The transport sector contributes 13% of SA’s total greenhouse gas emissions (DEFF, 2022).
• On average, ICE motorbikes emit 72g of CO₂ per km.
• A single Green Rider on an e-bike reduces emissions by over 1.4 tonnes of CO₂ annually (based on 20,000km/year delivery range).

Our e-bikes and e-motorbikes offer:
• Up to 80% lower operational costs
• Zero tailpipe emissions
• Longer lifespan and lower maintenance
• Noise-free, sustainable transport
By scaling our electric delivery model, we are creating green jobs and reducing the environmental cost of logistics — a win for the planet and the people.
Turning Vision into Measurable Change
Green Riders, headquartered in Cape Town, has built a strong foundation for national scale — with tangible results that speak to both social and environmental progress.
Our Footprint (as of Nov 2025):
• 1,000+ youth trained in 2024 alone
• Hundreds of riders placed with partners like Mr D and Uber Eats
• 5 established training centres : Richwood/Dunoon | Langa | Gugulethu | Nyanga | Athlone | Grassy Park
• 80% of graduates employed or earning income through gig economy work
• 2.5+ million eco-friendly kilometres travelled
• Savings of over R20,000/year per rider in fuel & maintenance costs

Social & Environmental Impact Breakdown
Youth Employment:
• Offers dignified, flexible employment to school-leavers and first-time job seekers
• Includes life skills, customer service, and digital tools to grow professional confidence
• Promotes local hiring, meaning riders earn income where they live, creating a loop of reinvestment in local economies
Environmental Impact:
• Zero-emission fleet of e-bikes and e-motorbikes
• Reduction of over 450 tonnes of CO₂ emissions projected in the next 18 months
• Supports the Green Economy, aligning with South Africa’s Just Energy Transition
Local Business Support:
• Provides last-mile delivery to small township businesses, enabling them to expand and compete
• Customized service options like loyalty perks, branded packaging, and social media marketing through our Quick-E brand

• Builds civic pride and cultivates a new generation of socially aware professionals.

We’re not just scaling a business — we’re scaling a movement.
As Green Riders expands, our goal is to replicate this impact across South Africa’s metros and townships, training thousands of youth annually, greening logistics infrastructure, and building an inclusive economy where everyone can ride into a better future
Together, we can change the way South Africa delivers — sustainably, equitably, and with heart.
