Apply for Climate Reality Leadership Training
Author: Food & Trees for Africa

Have you heard the news? The African Climate Reality Project is bringing the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training to the youth of Cape Town for 1 day only!
This training is designed to support participants in communicating the climate emergency to their communities and networks, advocating for lasting change, and engaging with fellow climate activists to build a climate justice movement. As we mark the 10-year anniversary of the Paris Agreement, it’s important to revisit the goals outlined in the agreement, assess how far South Africa has come, and outline what we need to do to secure a climate justice future.
By attending this training, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the climate crisis, learn about tools to strengthen your communication skills, connect with campaigns on the ground, and get a crash course on COP processes and campaigning skills. The training will include issue panels, practicals, skill-building sessions, and moments for networking and connection.
Once you complete this 1-day training, you will join the African Climate Reality’s network of over 2000 Climate Reality Leaders on the continent, which allows you access to climate education material, skills building, workshops, and more! You will be part of a greater network of 3.5 million Climate Reality Leaders across the world who are driving climate action.
To attend, apply at here before the 14th of March. Please feel free to share with your networks! This training is open to young people between 18- 35 years old.
The African Climate Reality Project (ACRP), the African branch of The Climate Reality Project founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, was established in 2014 and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The African Climate Reality Project is building capacity in communities, to not only understand the climate crisis, but to also build locally relevant solutions. Our work is centred around climate change solutions, climate finance and policy and storytelling. It is our mandate to amplify African voices and demands in climate policy spaces at every level, from local to international. To find out more about our work you can visit:
