Awesome August celebrations with The Chaeli Campaign

Author: Chaeli Campaign

August is our birthday month and we are celebrating 17 years of making a difference in the lives of disabled children, young adults and their communities.

We couldn't have done it without our incredible supporters and we would like to thank you for believing in the work we do! Here's to the next 17 years!

Celebrating 17 Years of The Chaeli Campaign

This month we looked back at the past seventeen years and we can't quite believe all that we have achieved.

What started as a fundraising mission for one little girl's motorised wheelchair has snowballed into an organisation making an impact in the lives of thousands of beneficiaries.

In 2020 alone we impacted the lives of 7 275 beneficiaries, 2 572 of whom are disabled, in 130 communities.

From assistive devices and therapy programmes to parent workshops and theatre productions we have seen children and young adults with disabilities thrive within themselves and within their communities.

With the support of our incredible funders and those individuals who believe in the work that we do we have been able to make a significant impact in the lives of differently-abled children and their communities.

To our staff and service providers who serve with such dedication and passion, we see you and we thank you for your hard work!

We cannot wait to see what the next 17 years brings!

Three cheers for our CSRC Patron!

The 2020 Paralympic Games are currently underway in Japan and we could not be more proud of our South African athletes.

We are especially proud of Chaeli Sports & Recreation Club Patron, Mpumelelo Mhlongo, who competed in the T64 100m event as a T44 Paralympic athlete. He came in 5th overall and broke the Paralympic Record in the T44 category. Congratulations Mpumi!

Mpumi will be competing in the Long Jump on 01 September and in the 200m event on 04 September. Good luck Mpumi, all of us back home are cheering you on!

Chaeli Cottage Preschool Olympics

The Olympics was one of the themes at Chaeli Cottage Preschool recently and the children had so much fun competing in the different events. Pillow case races, egg & spoon races and wheelchair races were accompanied by squeals of laughter and much joy.

The medal handover ceremony was a highlight and the children loved their shiny medals!
