TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR THE LATE CHRISTEL DEHAAN
#ChristelHouseSA video tribute to honour our founder
Some of the staff, students, alumni, board members and partners of #ChristelHouseSA recently paid tribute to our beloved founder, the late Christel DeHaan (1942 - 2020) with a special video where memories, messages and music were shared. The video was shared on Facebook Live on 25 June and the public was invited to share their own comments and fond memories in honour of Christel. We mourn the passing of our founder but we also celebrate her life as we know that her legacy lives on in the hearts of thousands across the world.

Trio create musical tribute for our founder
Three of our former students created a heart-warming musical tribute in honour of the late Christel DeHaan. Megan Maphike and Samuel Davids, who matriculated in 2014 and Abdu-Daiyaan Floris, who matriculated in 2016, recorded a special rendition of the song, ‘Go the distance’ by Michael Bolton in Christel's memory. The former students agreed that our school's music programme gave them many opportunities and said that this video tribute was just their small way of honouring Christel.
