Saturday, 28 May is World Hunger Day and the perfect time to donate towards our feeding programme. It’s true what they say – you can’t teach a hungry child.
With a contribution of R100, R250 or R500, you will help us provide daily nutritious meals to our youngest Christel Housers. When our Grade RRs (4-year-olds) join us, a high percentage are undernourished. We provide our little ones with specially fortified porridge, designed to deliver essential nutrients for growing minds and bodies. Through your donations and our intervention, our youngest students are usually on par developmentally with their peers by the time they reach Grade 1.
For many of our 811 students, the meals they receive at school are the only meals they will get all day.
