Edufundi enters final year with current cohort of schools

As we wrap up the first term of 2024, I am thrilled to share with you the incredible progress and achievements we've made together.
These past months have been bustling with activity, marked by significant milestones and enriching engagements.
Our commitment to excellence in education has been evident through the successful implementation of key program activities, notably the LLAC and TLAC workshops. These initiatives have not only been executed seamlessly but have also garnered positive feedback and participation from our dedicated educators.
Furthermore, our team's unwavering dedication to providing ongoing support to teachers and school leaders has been instrumental in driving positive change within our partner schools. Through consistent follow-up and tailored assistance, we continue to empower educators to thrive in their roles and make a lasting impact on their learners' lives.
I am particularly proud to highlight the strengthened partnership between Edufundi and the Department of Education. The increased collaboration and support from the department signify a significant step forward in ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of our programs. This newfound synergy is a testament to our shared vision of transforming education and empowering future generations.
Reflecting on our journey, it seems like just yesterday when we committed to supporting our current cohort of schools for a three-year period starting in 2022. Fast forward to 2024, and we find ourselves in the final stretch of implementation within these 40 schools. It has been immensely rewarding to collaborate with these schools and witness the adoption and integration of our practices into their school culture.
As we approach the culmination of this program, our primary objective is to establish a robust exit strategy. This strategy is designed to equip educators and school leaders with the necessary skills and resources to sustain the momentum of our initiatives, specifically focusing on TLAC techniques and instructional leadership practices. Throughout this pivotal year, our unwavering commitment is to ensure that schools are adequately prepared for this transition. We have intensified our implementation efforts to seamlessly integrate these practices into their day-to-day operations. We have also identified dedicated champions within each school who will assume responsibility for upholding our efforts beyond our direct involvement. Our priority is to ensure that these champions are thoroughly prepared to continue driving the impact of our work long after we have departed.
As we embark on the journey into Term 2, I am filled with excitement and optimism for the opportunities that lie ahead. With the momentum gained from our successes in the first term, we are poised to achieve even greater heights in the coming months. Together, let's continue to inspire, innovate, and make a difference in the lives of learners across our communities.
