The Drinks Business Green Awards highlight and reward global drinks companies' leadership on environment, sustainability and climate change. Designed to raise awareness of green issues in the industry and boost the role of marketing in influencing consumer behaviour, the awards provide a high-profile platform for companies to showcase their positive commitment to the planet. With support from a range of influential supporting partners and an eminent panel of expert judges, the awards emphasise how sustainability is core to development in the drinks industry.
The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to "a person who has excelled throughout his career in furthering environmental, sustainable or ethical practices in the drinks industry to the benefit and education of others."
In addition, Paul Clüver Wines was one of the four nominees for the Ethical Award. This award is presented to a company or product whose foundations are firmly based in, and dedicated to, the community and/or environment where they’re based. The Ethical Award considers all types of activities related to improving and benefiting the surrounding community
