The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP) Golf Day Tees Off For Local Businesses And The Community

Author: Greater Tygerberg Partnership

Friday the 1st of April 2022 will see The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP) tee off on its first annual fundraising golf day.

Hosted on the greens of Bellville Golf Club, it promises to be a day full of fun, four-jacks and business networking. Registration begins at 10h00 with the official tee off time for the friendly game of Four-ball Alliance set for 11.30 till 13.30. The game is to be followed by a scintillating dinner, auction and prize-giving from 18.00 onwards.

“We agree with Ben Hogan - that in life as in golf - the most important shot is the next one. This is why all the funds generated will go towards proven projects and pivotal research into the urban community of Bellville,” says Warren Hewitt, CEO of the GTP.

The event promises to foster unique connections within the local business environment of Bellville. Giving Bellville based SME's and business owners the opportunity to join together and support the growth of their community whilst networking and gaining exposure within their connected and like-minded community.

A worthy contribution for a Four-ball is R4000 - includes green fees, refreshment at the halfway house, entry to the evening's auction and dinner. Golf carts are also available but will be booked on a first-come-first-serve basis. Backed by local GTP partners, this golf day pays special attention to connecting larger partners with the local business environment to encourage economic growth within Bellville.

Partnership opportunities are available for all those who want to support the GTP and range from attending as a golfer to sponsoring a Four-ball. Interested parties may also sponsor a hole for R5000 - that includes a Four-ball and the opportunity to display their branding.

Donating prizes for the prizegiving, items to be auctioned off and gifts to be included in the GTP golfer goodie bag allows smaller artisanal businesses to showcase both their products and their generosity without breaking the bank. These donors will be thanked publicly both on the GTP’s website and on the evening.

This day is impossible to truly flub, as all the proceeds will be used to advance local community initiatives and the promotion of the larger Bellville area as an investment destination. Programmes already showing great success include the GTP’s Zero Waste Schools Project and Life-Changing Garden.
