Tell Nestlé, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Unilever and Mondelēz Int. to stop producing plastic

The Break Free From Plastic movement will not end until we all see the end of single-use plastic.
You may have just stumbled onto the plastic pollution crisis or you’ve been immersed in the conversation for a while. Maybe the countless images of landfills furnished with plastic left you feeling guilty or the appalling videos of rivers running with tons of plastic left you consumed in anger or seeing that heart-breaking video of a sea turtle with a straw lodged up its nose launched you into a “living plastic-free” blogger.
I know that you’re doing your part but what we’ve all come to learn is that positioning plastic as just an ocean problem or recycling as the sole solution were all false narratives created by the plastic industry. What this did was to shirk meaningful responsibility and keep a shiny spotlight on the individual consumer.
Since its inception in 2016, the global Break Free From Plastic movement has challenged all of these notions with grassroots voices and experts from around the world who are advocating for systems change at the policy, corporate, and culture-shift levels.

The Break Free From Plastic movement will not end until we all see the end of single-use plastic. So I urge you to not give up, but to add your name to this petition.
